Terms of Use

Advertiser relationship with Eventdomain

1.1 Your use of Eventdomain search engine is a legal agreement between you and Eventdomain.co.uk.

1.2 The terms form a legally binding contract for both users and advertisers and you are advised to read them.

Accepting the Terms & Conditions

2.1 To use Eventdomain, you must agree to the Terms.

2.2 You can accept the Terms by simply using the services. Advertisers that freely submit their company details and who benefit from Eventdomain are considered clients of Eventdomain.co.uk.

2.3 Trading Standards and BusinessLink.gov both agree:

Contracts that are formed via the internet are legally binding and enforceable providing that the following conditions are satisfied:

offer – one party must contract with the other

acceptance – the other party must expressly accept the offer

Acceptance of the offer of advertising on Eventdomain is proven by:

1. Creation of a username and password & confirmation of those details

2. Submitting via a security Captcha tool

3. Pressing a submit button to create an advertiser account

4. Creating a Listing within your account

You should note that there is no general requirement for contracts to be in writing or for the parties to actually sign a contract. (Source: Derbyshire Trading Standards & Barking Trading Standards)



Eventdomain Client Accounts

3.1 In order to advertise on our search engines, you will have to create an Advertiser account.

Account. —  For security purposes you must keep your username and password and email secure.

3.2 You agree that you are solely responsible for any activity under your account, this includes all usernames, passwords, company and website information and descriptions of products and services.


User & Advertiser Submissions/Listings/Adverts

4.1 You agree that your submissions and/or adverts are owned by you and is your responsibility to ensure they aren’t illegal or break any UK/Worldwide advertising laws.

4.2 You agree that Eventdomain is not responsible for the content of individual advertiser submissions.

4.3 You agree that you will not submit content of the following nature: Defamatory, abusive, pornographic material, threatening, harmful, libellous, infringement of copyright.

Eventdomain.co.uk shall not be liable for any third party claims or losses of any nature including, but not limited to: loss of profit, direct, indirect, special damages arising from third party use or inability to use this website.


4.4 Eventdomain has its Terms & Conditions dating back to 2005 and 2008 which states:

June 2005 –  Basic Sponsored Advert  £10 p.a    (Annual Subscription Rate  –  non-refundable)    Company entries are contracted for 12 month per annum.


Mar 2008 –  Basic Sponsored Advert   £60 p.a   (£5 per month).    These include:   Company name, description, phone, weblink and location).  Advertising period is 12 months contract per year.

Text Links –  £450 p.a   –     These are visible on our Homepage,  again, 12 months contract per year.


4.5      Payment Terms

1. The Eventdomain website is a subscription service, with renewal fees, chargable every 12 months.  All our fees are termed as ‘Sponsored Listings’  Eg:  our fees on ED start from £50 for a 12 months contract.   Any changes to our fees can either be found on our blog, the website or via our newsletter.

2.  Fees are payable at registration , which create an Advertiser Account via online forms,  then invoiced each year via email after that.  If fees are not paid to us, we may decide to take legal action and charge interest at a daily rate of £1.16.
The Late Payment of Commercial Debts (Interest) Act 1998

3.  Late payments are charged at £40.00 per invoice sent out to debtors.


Special Advertising Offers

Eventdomain has a Terms & Conditions about its ‘offers’ dating back to 2008 which says:

**Special offers are only for clients and Eventdomain reserves the right to withdraw offers at any time

5.1   Any advertising that includes free options, add-ons or is termed ‘Free’, ‘Introductory’, ‘Currently Free’,  ‘Free for xxx months’  will run for a period of time, set by us.   The advertising/listings period will end and advertisers charged at the normal rate.

5.2  Free options are what we give you eg:  a gift and is not an entitlement, and can be retracted at any time.


Terms and Termination

6.1 Eventdomain reserves the right to terminate the contract and remove client accounts for any breaches of the contract originally signed-up for.  Any requests for cancellation of the contract between Eventdomain.co.uk and client, must be put in writing by email/direct mail before the next renewal date.  Failure to communicate requests will be treated as a contract breach plus fees will apply for any advertising already taken and delivered.



These Terms are the agreement between Advertiser and Eventdomain and updates any prior understanding or agreements regarding Advertising Campaigns on the Eventdomain website.
